Quick Preview: Censored CDs make me want to download them and freedom of speech
I’ve been gone for awhile and some of you may wonder why. Buying a house sucks ass. Being married makes you go to stupid couples shit with other couples you don’t really care about. But one of these “adventures” leads me to my next point. So I’m driving home because my chick wants to sleep during the two hour car drive. Cool. So I stop by Wal Mart to pick up some CDs for the ride. I pop in the CD I bought instead of downloaded and it’s some clean version. I already look gweak ass for getting Avril Lavigne, but I am even weaker looking by getting a clean version.
This is why I say downloading is more justified than buying CDs. If this was some mp3s I downloaded and I got this less-manly clean version, I could just delete it and download the right one. Instead, I’m stuck spending $15 on some CD I don’t like. FBA and RIAA want to stop people from downloading? How about stop the assholes like Wal Mart from selling shitty ass edited versions and pissing me off during my drive home.
Don Imus gets fired for shitting on some black girl basketball players for calling them “nappy-headed hoes” but somehow Rosie O’Fat does not get fired for saying “Ching Chong Chang” mocking all fucking Asians. I don’t know, it might be because I’m Asian, but Rosie’s comments are much more offensive in my eyes than Imus’s.
Regardless, both should not ever be fired. The most important right is freedom of speech. Imus and O’Fat have the right to say whatever they want, and we all have the right to turn them off. I don’t want to end up like France.
